The 750W brushless hub motor (peak output; continuous rating is lower to comply with EU regulations in assisted mode) provides noticeably more pulling power than the 250W motors required for EU road-legal e-bikes. In off-road and private land contexts, the full power mode is accessible and dramatically changes the climbing capability — 25% grades that require standing effort on a 250W bike are handled seated at a comfortable pedalling cadence. In EU-legal 250W mode, performance is still excellent relative to the class.
Fat Tyres in Practice
4-inch fat tyres at reduced pressure (we ran 15–18 PSI versus the maximum 30 PSI) absorb road surface irregularities in a way that transforms the riding experience on imperfect urban surfaces. Cobblestones, tramlines, and potholed cycle paths that demand attention and bracing on narrow-tyre bikes become background texture. The trade-off is rolling resistance on smooth tarmac at higher speeds, where a narrow-tyre road bike is more efficient at equal effort.
Range Reality
In mixed-terrain riding at 50–70% assistance, we recorded 62–68km per charge — within the quoted 70km estimate. In full power mode on hilly terrain, range dropped to approximately 40km. These figures are more honest than most e-bike manufacturers publish.
