We're a small team of product obsessives who believe that honest, rigorous testing shouldn't be a luxury. We buy everything we review, and we tell you exactly what we found — good and bad.
The internet is full of "reviews" that are really just affiliate content farms rehashing Amazon listings. We exist to be the opposite of that. Every product on this site was purchased at retail price, tested in real conditions, and evaluated against a consistent scoring rubric.
We make money from affiliate links — when you click through and buy something, we earn a small commission. This never influences our recommendations. If a product fails our tests, we say so plainly, even if it's one of our most-clicked affiliate links.
Each review starts with a purchase. We buy the product from the same place you would — Amazon, the brand's own website, a local retailer. We test it for a minimum of two weeks in everyday use, following the same protocol for every product in a category.
We rate on five criteria: performance, value for money, build quality, ease of use, and long-term reliability. Each criterion is scored 0–10, and the overall score is a weighted average. We explain our scoring criteria for every category.
FactorieOutlet was founded by a group of writers and engineers who were tired of reading reviews that felt like press releases. We come from backgrounds in product design, journalism, and consumer advocacy.
We have no advertising relationships with the brands we review. We have no sponsored content. Our only income is affiliate commissions on products we've already recommended because we genuinely think they're worth buying.
No free samples, no press loaners. Every product is purchased at retail price.
Minimum two weeks of hands-on testing per product, in real everyday conditions.
Same five criteria for every product in a category. No moving goalposts.
Affiliate income never influences ratings. A failing product gets a failing score.
FactorieOutlet participates in affiliate programs. When you purchase a product through a link on our site, we may earn a commission — at no additional cost to you. These commissions help fund our testing. They do not influence our editorial recommendations.
